The first generation of Audi Allroad Quattro turned out to be a great success. There are four direct fuel-injection engines offered under the hood: two diesel and two gasoline-powered ones. V6 3.2 FSI puts out 255 hp (188 kilowatt) and V8 4.2 FSI produces 350 hp (257 kilowatt).
FSI technology allows increasing gasoline-powered engines` horsepower. Both 6-cylinder diesel power plants (2.7 and 3.0 L) are provided with direct fuel-injection system and boast of high torque. Diesel engines produce 180 hp (132 kilowatt) and 233 hp (171 kilowatt). A 6-speed manual gearbox or a 6-speed hydro-mechanical automatic gearbox Tiptronic can be used to "transfer" the tractive effort. Audi Allroad Quattro is provided with a fulltime all-wheel drive if talking about standard package.
The suspension boasts of a new construction made principally of aluminium alloy that assures good maneuverability and safety. Standard adaptive air suspension boasts of 5 modes including two for badly conditioned roads.
