Audi 80 Design

Audi 80 model was introduced in 1972. The automobile was awarded the title "Automobile of the Year" right away as it was produced.

High-quality interior trim is really impressive, while the driver`s workplace is very ergonomic and comfortable. The backseat passengers seats aren`t that successfully designed at the same time: it is uncomfortable to sit as the backrest is too vertical and there is little head room. The forebody section of the saloon lacks one thing: there is no lighting, although on the whole everything is just fine.

In 1991 Audi 80 design was slightly modified. The forebody section and the rear end changed dramatically. The grille and the hood became one unit and that reminded of a Mercedes actually. The bumpers` shape was changed; what is more, they had been painted the same color as the body since that time. The wheels were replaced to become 15-inch ones. The trunk volume was almost twice increased (from 430 liters to 710 liters), which was possible thanks to the folding backseat backrest.
